Having a Presence
Stand out visually. Use unique graphics or an unusual booth to capture the attention of visitors. Visit any local tradeshow yourself to see what most companies are doing with their booths, and go from there. Get your design and marketing staff in on it. Also, pick the brain of the person who supplies your booth and prints your graphics. Mail a postcard inviting people to your booth. A month before the show, mail a postcard to all attendees and customers inviting them to stop by. Use a raffle, drawing or simple freebies to entice them. Don't forget to tell them your booth number. Advertise in publications you know your target audience reads. Get a banner ad on a web site you know they visit, such as a trade association. Advertise it on your own web site too. Send an e-mail to all your customers and friends. When the show date gets closer, send an e-mail to customers, vendors, colleagues, etc., reminding them to come by your booth. Have a unique giveaway. If attendees see each other carrying something interesting, they're bound to ask where it came from. This tradeshow floor word of mouth can drive traffic to your booth. Go To Next Section |
